Thank you for visiting NDiCare and taking interest in our services. We are a team of industry professionals with vast experience in multiple areas, including Forensic Disability, AOD, Mental Health, Dual Diagnosis, Youth Work and Housing Services. Our main objective is to provide high quality support to assist individuals reach their full potential. Working with participants from all walks of life, we are accustomed to liaise with multiple stakeholders. As such, we understand what is required to work as part of a team with a common goal in mind. Placing emphasis on better communication practices, regular and proactive actions and early intervention strategies. With our inHouse training programs, we ensure our team of support workers and coordinators are capable of dealing with every aspect of a participant's journey to a greater quality of life.
For professionals working with participants with a cognitive disability and who are involved in the criminal justice system.
For professionals who work closely with participants with dual diagnoses, including AOD and Mental Health supports.
For professionals working with eligible participants who required assistance finding accommodation, or are at risk of homelessness.
For professionals working with young participants.
Navigating the correctional system can be quite challenging, our forensic trained support workers are equipped to assist participants undergo events such as exiting custody, attending court hearings, liaising with stakeholders, attending behavioural programs and discussing care team goals.
Specialised inHouse training to core staff members who work with Dual Disability participants. With strong focus on crisis strategies, early intervention awareness, harm reduction strategies and ICE specific training. Able to assist participants to engage on positive behaviours to reduce substance misuse and encourage harm reduction.
Staff members equipped to assist participants with psychosocial support needs and provide guidance to access mental health supports. Experienced psychosocial coaches that understand the services and supports available for participants.
We understand the importance of stable long term accommodation and how difficult it can be at times for participants to find suitable housing opportunities. Our staff members can help participants look for housing options, engage with emergency housing support agencies and assistance communicating with housing providers. NDIS participants who live in Public Housing and require assistance dealing with tenancy matters. Our staff members can assist with interpreting The Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic) and VCAT related matters.
According to the UN, the "Youth with disabilities are among the most marginalised". At NDiCare we place strong importance on inclusion and diversity, we aim to enable young participants find their way in the world. We have the tools to assist young people with disability to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
Some of the organisations we work with include the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), Local Councils and Hospitals, amongst others.
